Our mission is to Gather, Grow, Go.

Gather in worship and fellowship

We desire to offer all attendees, from long-time members to new visitors, a meaningful Sunday morning experience in which we can collectively worship God in a way that is both pleasing to Him and fulfilling to us. We will attract a new generation of families and younger people with a contemporary music style while also preserving traditional elements of worship. We will continue to be known as a friendly body of believers who embrace newcomers. Fellowship will extend beyond Sunday mornings through small group ministries (home groups, women's ministry, men's ministry, prime timers, etc.). While it is our desire to grow in number to approximately 200 to 400, we will remain an intimate congregation.

Grow in faith, love & service

We desire for all attendees, regardless of their age or maturity in the Christian faith, to have many opportunities to grow in their faith and become disciples of Christ. Teaching from the pulpit will be bible-based and have life application. Additional Christian education will be available through various Sunday School classes offered to children and adults. We will serve our congregation through lay care teams, quality pastoral care and prayer support.

Go and share the love of Christ

We will have a strong program of evangelism through community service, particularly to those in surrounding neighborhoods, even as they change culturally and economically. We will support a strong missions program, both foreign and domestic, through prayer, financial giving and personal involvement. Through our affiliation with the Converge World Wide and Converge Iowa City, we desire to be part of a church planting movement to establish new neighborhood churches.
